Café Bla brings Nordic coffee culture to Munich. Think homemade cinnamon buns, freshly baked waffles and excellent flat whites. In fact coffee is a really big deal here. They even have their own blend, provided by local roaster Vits. Guests can choose between espresso based coffees from the statement blue La Marzocco machine or traditional filter from exciting looking devices.
Opened by Stephanie Bjarnason in 2016, her love affair with caffeine stems from her Icelandic roots. The ritual of coffee drinking in Nordic countries is something she grew up with and enables a form of social interaction she wanted to bring to Munich. Café Bla is the realisation of a long-held dream.
Whatever the time of year, this is a great spot. The wooden floor and glass shop front keep it bright and airy in summer, whilst the warm lighting in winter make it ever so inviting.
